from the harmful UVA effects. 

Has several effects: moisturizes and soothes the skin, preparing it to the exposure to sun rays, accelerates the production of melanin in the skin and, as a consequence, enhance the effectiveness of tanning, making tan more pronounced and increasing its longevity.
