San PietroLAB Cosmetics: Italian Professional Skincare Where Botanical Tradition Meets Modern Formulation

San PietroLAB Cosmetics is an Italian cosmetics laboratory based in Diano San Pietro, Liguria. The company focuses on professional skincare, essential-oil-based formulations, botanical extracts, wellness products and specialist cosmetics for tattooed skin. Its official website describes a tradition of passion and professional experience dating back to 1979, while the company’s LinkedIn profile lists the current business as founded in 2012. In other words, San PietroLAB presents its formulation know-how as having deeper historical roots than the present corporate structure. Production is positioned as Made in Italy, with the company stating that its manufacturing activity takes place in Liguria.

What makes San PietroLAB different?

One of San PietroLAB’s clearest strengths is its emphasis on essential oils, vegetable oils and plant extracts. Rather than treating botanical ingredients as a simple marketing addition, the company places them at the centre of its formulation philosophy. Its professional method is based on “synergies”: products with specific functions can be combined according to the condition and characteristics of an individual client’s skin.

This modular approach is particularly relevant for professional beauticians. Instead of building every treatment around a rigid anti-age, purifying or body-care range, San PietroLAB promotes the possibility of combining individual products and active ingredients to create more personalised protocols. According to the company, this can simplify the professional assortment while giving the operator greater flexibility.

Another strength is the company’s clear professional orientation. San PietroLAB is not positioned solely as a consumer skincare brand. Its products and protocols are designed for beauty institutes, spas, pharmacies and tattoo studios, and the company also develops third-party cosmetic projects. Education and technical support are part of the proposition: training events, webinars and professional treatment protocols appear regularly in its communication.

The portfolio itself is diverse. The Essential Oils Line is designed primarily for professional aesthetics. The Beauty Line combines phytotherapy-inspired concepts with modern cosmetic formulation; San PietroLAB states that this professional range is rich in active ingredients and formulated without parabens, paraffins or petrolatum. The I Fitorange is oriented toward everyday care and wellbeing, while Must Tattoo Skincare addresses the specialised needs of tattoo artists and people with tattoos.

Who are San PietroLAB products for?

The brand is particularly interesting for beauticians, cosmetologists, spas and professional skincare centres looking for products that can be incorporated into customised protocols rather than used only as fixed routines. Professionals working with botanical ingredients and essential oils are an especially natural audience.

There is also a strong specialist niche around tattoo care. Must Tattoo Skincare, a San PietroLAB brand created in 2015 in collaboration with professional tattoo artists, offers products intended for different stages of tattoo care: during the tattooing process, post-treatment skin care, maintenance and protection. This makes the range relevant both to tattoo studios and to consumers who want dedicated skincare for tattooed skin.

Selected San PietroLAB products are also appropriate for home skincare, depending on the formula and skin type. For example, the company currently positions BLU Protective for mature, dull or dehydrated skin; LIPO Giallo for oily and blemish-prone skin; and REDERM for skin showing uneven texture, visible imperfections or signs of ageing. These are manufacturer positioning statements and should not be interpreted as medical treatment claims.

What is new at San PietroLAB in 2026?

Recent communication shows that San PietroLAB is increasingly combining products with structured professional protocols and education. In January and February 2026 it presented stages of the LongeVie “RIGENERA” facial method, including professional protocols using mandelic, glycolic and salicylic acid products.

In April and May, the company highlighted products including REDERM Cream, Rigenera Cream, Eudermica Mask and LIPO Giallo. On 11 May it featured BLU Protective Face Cream, positioned as a daily protective product intended to help defend the skin against UV exposure, oxidative stress and exposure to blue light from digital devices. The brand also ran professional webinars on acne-prone skin protocols and cellulite-related aesthetic treatments, reinforcing its education-led approach to professional cosmetics.

Another recent development concerns the tattoo segment. Among the most recent publicly indexed updates found, on 6 June 2026 Must Tattoo announced a collaboration with Family Affair Milano, extending the tattoo brand’s communication beyond skincare into tattoo culture and lifestyle.

This international and professional orientation is not entirely new. In 2024 San PietroLAB hosted an aesthetics and wellness meeting in Diano Marina attended by beauty professionals from Estonia, Lithuania and Finland. The programme included professional treatment protocols, essential-oil products and cosmetics inspired by Ligurian ingredients such as Lavender Boscomare.

A specialised alternative to mass-market cosmetics

San PietroLAB is therefore best understood not as another mass-market Italian beauty label but as a small, specialised professional cosmetics manufacturer. Its strongest differentiators are botanical formulation expertise, the extensive use of essential oils, flexible treatment protocols, Made in Italy production and close links with professional beauty and tattoo communities.

For consumers, the brand can be attractive when a specific, professionally oriented skincare product is needed. For salons, spas, cosmetologists and tattoo studios, however, San PietroLAB’s broader value lies in the combination of products, know-how, protocols and technical education. That combination gives the company a distinctive place within the Italian professional cosmetics sector.
